Camilla Tominey and Me: My truth as a Royal Reporter
I’ve covered the royal family and cults, but I have received the most engagement since I started to write about Prince Andrew’s friend Camilla Tominey.
Please note: I never thought about becoming a royal reporter. Who would waste their education on becoming a royal reporter? Sure, I do enjoy gossiping about the royal family. I love to analyze how much taxpayer money is wasted on them.
But it wasn’t until I read the work of Camilla Tominey, that I knew I had to become a royal reporter. If someone so unremarkable could make a living being a gossip columnist then I knew I should do it as well.
Who is Camilla Tominey?
Camilla Tominey is a British ‘journalist’ who has a long history of lying.
How to become a royal reporter like Camilla Tominey?
After studying her work, it is very, very, very easy to become a royal reporter like Camilla Tominey.
Despite having no access to the most successful royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Camilla Tominey still is able to make money off of them.
How?
Though her writing, appearances, and social media engagement.
Camilla Tominey is aware that she is disliked.
But she is also aware that people who support Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will respond to her if she mentions them.
Camilla Tominey just needs to tweet about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and she will get thousands of comments.
Comments she will never read.
Once she posts the tweet, she turns off notifications for that conversation.
Then she can go back and track the social media engagement.
Meaning, for example, if Camilla Tominey is trying to book an interview, she just needs to show how much social media engagement she has received on that topic.
It would prove to anyone hiring her that people are interested in what she has to say.
Then what is the best thing to do?
BLOCK AND IGNORE CAMILLA TOMINEY.
Stop supporting her.
Camilla Tominey wants engagement, so why would you give that to her?
Give Camilla Tominey what she doesn’t want. She doesn’t want her articles archived, she doesn’t want people sending letters to organizations telling them not to work with her, she doesn’t want to be trending on Twitter for being a liar, etc.
Camilla Tominey wants to make money.
I am not going to help her.
But after two months in this business, I am smart enough to know: these tactics work.
So I may as well use them myself.
